Outfit Post: Halter Dress

I am super excited to share this outfit post with you. I fell in love with this print that I found back in January but I wouldn’t allow myself to buy it until I figured out exactly what I wanted to make out of it. I didn’t want to add it to the pile of fabric I already have stored up in my sewing room that I haven’t yet figured what sort of garment it should become.

A few months later, after scrolling Pinterest a few hundred times it finally hit me. I wanted to make a halter with a full skirt that had pockets. One, I love a halter, and two, pockets in a dress are always a yes! Summer time fine!

So what’s super special about this outfit for me is that on a whim I decided to post a poll on Instagram about whether or not I should make it for sale, and I got a lot of positive feedback! I am so proud to share with you that this is my very first made-to-order piece and the very first one was tailored to fit a special lady. It is also the very first garment that I’ve done a time lapse video on.

Michael did such a great job with these photos and I honestly can’t thank him enough for constantly pushing and motivating me to follow my creative dreams whenever I run ideas by him, for all of the iced caps, laughter filled shoot days, and so much more.
