Designer Spotlight: Bea Szenfeld

Bea Szenfeld is a Swedish designer that decided to make the most out of paper, fashion-wise. The Spring/Summer 2014 collection was called “Haute Papier” and hot it was, at least in my opinion. I am always mind blown when designers fold paper into intricate and wearable creations. Granted, I know it’s not an everyday wear garment but the ability to take a material and use it in a way it was not meant to be used, or isn’t usually used, always intrigues.

The collection carried volume and silhouettes out of this world. This I feel goes to show the possibilities of construction that could be reached if a more paper-like but practical material was used to make garments. I’m not sure I would wear these but I am definitely impressed.
