ShopShari’s numbers have yelled my name since day one. Earlier this year, she released her capsule collection – CANVAS. The designer that was previously known for her bright prints and impeccable print mixing talent now had a line that was a collection of solids. SOLIDS! What was going on.

Alright, so despite the collection only being solids, they were bright solids and boy, OH BOY! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. Shari definitely did not disappoint.

Outfit Post: Stripe Halter + Steve Madden Tassel Sandals

The warm weather has taken me outdoors to explore new places, old houses, and paddle boarding. I paid a trip to the Ca’ d’Zan in Sarasota a few weekends ago. The Ca’ d’Zan is the mansion that the owners of the Ringling circus called home during the winter months. It is a Mediterranean Revival mansion directly on the water which allows it to enjoy fabulous breezes and has some of the prettiest stained glass windows I have ever seen on a house.

The estate is now home to the Ringling Circus Museum which has displays that are equally as fascinating as they are haunting. The costumes definitely yelled at me and I spent quite a bit of time perusing their construction. There was a gigantic to-scale model of what the set up of the circus would have been back in the day as it traveled around the country – talk about attention to detail on some of those pieces!

Outfit Post: Print mixing x with love from Guyana

I have long been a sucker for print mixing. When I see a fashion blogger get it done and done right it makes me want to try to achieve it myself. I’ve always found myself attracted to the floral on stripe combos so I figured that was the best way to play it safe while trying to have the courage to mix prints.

This outfit is little more special to me because the stripe cover up number is actually done by yours truly,  and will one day hopefully be a part of  a with love from Guyana line.
